"Once Upon A Time In Mexico" was partial inspiration for the game...but just the action sequences. The movie pretty much sucked otherwise.

Btw....the graphics aren't "cutting edge" or "next gen"....we concentrated on making a fun game that could still play on PS2. We still crammed in a lot of detail, though....and personality. So anytime anyone bitches about the graphics...I just smile and squeeze my sack.
