Yikes. There's prolly more than 30k downloads for this thing so far... and as far as I know there really aren't that many servers for it (before this free thing, the game was pretty much dead), so I guess we can expect cramped servers all the time now, unless some people decide to put some new ones online.

Been playing a bit of this tonight.
Although I've had the full game since release, I'd never really bothered with the MP before, so took this opportunity to jump in with this fresh influx of people.
It's fun.
The weapons are all so hideously overpowered it's purely a case of who's got the quicker trigger finger, but that does add a certain nervous urgency to it.
I've settled on CTF as my mode of choice, mainly because there are actually some light maps in the CTF rotation. And flag running in such a lethal game is quite a rush
But this combined with the original Enemy Territory and Enemy Territory Fortress make me wonder how anybody seeking to release purely MP titles in the future is going to be able to charge for them.
I'm really looking forward to ET: QW, but I don't see how they can charge top dollar for it with things like this happening.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, but with this being id, I'm under no illusions that they're going to try and sell it for the same price as all of their other titles.ctrlnuke wrote:Why is that in issue? Not being able to charge top dollar is a GOOD thing.Mat Linnett wrote:...I'm really looking forward to ET: QW, but I don't see how they can charge top dollar for it with things like this happening.
So expect to pay £44.95 for ET: QW on release.
