Burning Movies

Post by Kills On Site »

What is the best way to encode and burn .avi files, two tp be exact, to a DVD that could be played in an X-Box and hopefully with the ability to go between the two files? I have heard and experienced that Nero is not the best method for this and am wondering what is.

[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

I have Alcohol 120%, DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter and am not seeing how to create a DVD from two avi files with either of the 3 programs.

SoM, I do not believe what I am doing to be illegal. What I am trying to burn are the season premieres of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis so me and my family can watch them, surely the same thing as if I recorded them with a TiVo or VCR.

I'm quite fond of Nero Vision for doing just that sort of thing.

I dunno if the trial version of Nero will let you do it, or if Nero Vision is even included, but it's worth a try.

I used TMPGEnc Xpress and DVD Author to do it, I messed up on one thing that I wasn't going to wait to redo, nothing big, but I think overall it does a good job.

While I think its technically illegal, no one is going to come after you since theres that glaring analog loophole that makes it legal for you to record it onto a tape or TiVo. That and Atlantis kicks SG-1's ass now.

Don't worry, the ISP's are busy fighting over Net Neutrality so that they can charge you more for torrenting, or just cut off torrenting completely, like some are already trying with packet shaping.
