more importantly, what new has this NFS to offer? its again pimping thy ride while getting 'rep' in streetraces. oh this time you take over blocks instead of whole city sections. woo

I mean, have you played NFSU2 on a PS2?
Those shots are next gen mate. i.e. 360 and PS3 shots. IGN has a bit preview of it.
If they were PS2 shots i would be saying "ok, dont like the style as such, but for a PS2 game it looks good".
Read much?
You said "When will EA stop making games for PS2 and porting them to everything else... " and I said "Er, that looks way better than the previous NFS games...".
HOLY CUNT, YOU'RE RIGHT! IF IT WEREN'T FOR SPOTTING THAT GRAPE FLAVORED PIXIE STICK GRANULE AT THE APEX, I WOULD HAVE COMPLETELY MISSED THAT TURN! THANKS MAN!

You can't expect every console game to have high resolution textures, it just won't happen for quite some time. If this was a PC Only title, then I'd say sure, this doesn't look that fantastic, but it doesn't look really shite
On a side note, I too did enjoy most wanted, and I quite look forward to getting this too. Be nice if it came out on the wii as well

Actually, memory on consoles plays a different way compared to memory on a PC.
Look at Doom 3 on the xbox. 64meg of ram. Do you REALLY think that a PC with the spec of an xbox could handle that game?
Developing for a single platform can have a lot of GOOD results.
You'd think I'd obviously know console memory is different to pc memory right?
You actually made a good point about Doom 3 on the xbox, it was VERY VERY low resolution due to memory limitation
