Best video game music.

Post by Ganemi »

I want you guys, off the top of your heads, to list games with sound tracks that have no bad music, whatsoever.

Off the top of my head:

Quake 3 (PC)
Axelay (Snes)
Donkey Kong Country 2 (Snes)
Yoshi's Island (Snes)
Chrono Trigger (Snes)
Mario Kart (Snes, The real ending theme that'd come up after you completed everything always brought a tear to my eye. Shut up)
Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest (Snes I played it for the first time when I was like...8, and I hated it then, but this has some of the most memorable music ever)

Go ahead. Keep the ball rolling.

- Quake 2 (best game sound-track I've ever encountered)
- DOOM 1+2 (I'd say 3, but it only has the one theme song really)
- Earth Seige 2 (never played the first to comment)
- Descent 2 (never played the others, but I seem to remember liking all the music when I played this)
- Red Faction 1+2 (I shouldn't list this really because not all of it is good IMO, but it has lots, and also the tracks are generally recorded too flat sounding TBH)
- Quake 3 Arena (also shouldn't list, some of it just seems a bit boring at times)
- Goldeneye (most of it is pretty good)

Yeah its not half bad. Almost epic.
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.
