I'll join when CS:S stops being a glorified random number generator.

For graphics, yes.
For a laugh, yes.
For serious gameplay, no. Damage given is totally random, you could hit a guy in the same place with the same settings (armour, health etc) over and over again and you get different results every fucking time.

CS:Source owns and damage isn't random, they have very specific hitboxes. It's fun to play.

In theory it works all fine.
But online the prediction and general randomness of the shooting while moving just fucks it all up.
Even with normal 30-60 pings you can see for yourself. Two normal pistol shots can do more damage than four or five m4 or ak rifle shots to the same hitboxes. And how many times have you gotten 1 damage with a gun?
Ive seen 101 damage deaths from one normal pistol shot to the feet. Blood decals appear behind the guy you are shooting at and when he kills you you are told you did no damage to him in the console.
Flashes are the best example of how fucked up the dectection of hitboxes are (the head box for flashes obviously), you can throw one around a corner of solid fucking rock, run back and hide behind a crate looking down and out of the way and you get flashed fully. And yet another could land squarely at your feet in plain view of you, and you dont get flashed.

Theres a video going about showing how bad it is, the guy aiming two foot behind the enemy and hitting him.

Yeah there is a small problem with hitboxes lagging, but it's almost not noticeable and only occurs in wierd places.
