Those alien bastards are gonna pay for shooting up my ride.
It's sad these days because in order to get your students to be active and maybe, just maybe, learn, you have to be one of those cool teachers.
You know, the jean wearing, under thirty-five hipster who begins each class with a discussion about last night's survivor, and makes every assignment a group project.

Hmmmm, don't have time to play with myself.
They get involved with the students a little bit too much. In the years following my graduation from high school, I've learned that several teachers lost their jobs over sexual encounters. Oh well, high school is high school. It's not really important.

Yeah I know what you mean, teachers try too hard also. It's not like they can run everything. 20% of the students cause 80% of the problems.

We talked about this on another forum. While I'm not sure what might have happened to provoke the incident (because I don't care) this is what I feel about the pledge:

When I was in elementary school I always hated having to stand up and recite the pledge every morning. I know now what it symbolizes but not because I was verbally/physically abused or told to MTFO. You guys are acting like every kid in America is born with a burning patriotism.
What I thought was really nice is doing it every Friday. In elementary, the entire school would go out front and the band teacher would play the Star Spangled Banner while we watched the flag go up. It was a very cool experience and being on the crew who put up the flag was a real honor. In high school we would sign along with a student over the loud speaker every Friday.
If a kid wants to show disrespect during the pledge/anthem then they need to understand why they are being disrespectful and why they should change their actions. Are you guys suggesting that kids need to be trained to respect their country with violence and fear?
"Achtung!! Ze pledge zwill begin in 30 seconds. Stand or recieve 20 lashings!"
naw the best teachers are single females with no kids under 40 who wish they were young agian and who will buy you weed and fuck you.rep wrote:Those alien bastards are gonna pay for shooting up my ride.

I'm going to get my friend to video tape me at a bar, then I'm going to get right up in some guys face and call the girl he's sitting with a disease-ridden cunt. Then when he assaults me, I'm going to sue him.
Point #1: The students were pushing this guy's buttons. Doesn't have anything to do with the pledge. The kids are using the patriotic shit to make their case bulletproof. They may be cunts, but they're not dumb. The teacher may not have the right to make you say the pledge, but he sure as shit has the right to make you stand up.
Point #2: If you're a teacher, you shouldn't have buttons to begin with. If your a teacher and you get physical, it's your ASS. Make no bones about it.
