Home teams are 11-2 in the deciding game. Hopefully history + the fans will spark something, cause right now the Oilers are clicking on all cylinders (pardon the cliche).
Jesus, what a rout. I recorded it and watched it this morning. The thing that jumped out at me the most was how much more composed and smooth Edmonton was on the power play. Leaps and bounds better than Carolina, they looked like a high school team.

Indeed, they wouldn't even have a chance of winning if their powerplay hadn't clicked. Now that it's all oiled up, the pressure is on Carolina because now they think if they get penalties, Edmonton will capitalize whereas before they could get reckless and generate quite a bit of momentum killing Oil powerplays. Now Carolina may lay off the jabs and pokes to be aware of the penalty situation, allowing Edmonton forwards more space in the attacking zone.
