My page is best viewed with a blow up doll, six gallons of lube and a raincoat.

Actually he's right.

Most pages say Microsoft Internet Explorer. I've seen a few Firefox plugs out there as well. Anything certified by the W3 will run in 99.99999999999% of the browsers out there, even old shitty versions of Netscape. As I've stated before, there is more gold in the world than platinum, but platinum is worth far more.

Anyone who puts a 'best viewed' intro on their site is a tool. "BEST VIEWED WITH INTERNET EXPLORER AT 1024X768. WANNA SEE MY FLASH INTRO? YES/NO? NO. OKAY I'LL PLAY IT ANYWAY. HERE'S A JAVASCRIPT POP-UP THAT WILL ASK YOU YOUR NAME SO MY INDEX WILL SAY 'HELLO JAMES.' I'LL ALSO MAKE SURE THAT EVERY LINK OPENS IN A CHROMELESS WINDOW, AND THAT MY INDEX WILL MAXIMIZE YOUR BROWSER. HERE COMES A COMET CURSOR!"

Thank god for Opera.

I agree, Freakaloin. Who argues about software, let alone Internet browsers?

The simple facts are that in every test conducted by a reliable entity, Opera beats everything else. It's not a matter of preference... You all can drive Civics with kits, but the Lambo' still beats it.

lol, so you are comparing a piece of Internet browsing software to a high-performance Italian sportscar?

It gives the ricers (99.9% of this forum) a familiar analogy.

An italian supercar known to have serious build quality issues and an all-around idiocy factor nonetheless... For an analogy, that's a poor car to base an argument off of.

I think rep has been reincarnated by someone and is being used as an alt. He is insulting nerds, ricers, and generally anyone...Sounds kinda like Testo without all the self love.

Oh and rep...get a fucking clue. Why don't you go research current web design trends and see which browser comes out on top...fucking troll...

Link is currently down due to it being slashdotted into bandwidth hell, but the main points are quoted in the post. Opera is the fastest browser by all tests. All of slashdot couldn't refute the facts, so your argument is moot at best. Since you guys don't care about speed (Because you use Firefox, even though Internet Explorer and Opera beat it) Then you might consider the features. Opera is the most fully featured browser on the planet. Regardless of the open-source scripts of little use that Firefox has (Come on, mp3 player in the browser? Give me a break.) on download Opera has one hundred fold the capability of Firefox.

You nerds cannot debate the facts. Get over it. It's just a piece of software. You act like it's your life or something. "NO NONONONO!!! BUT FIREFOX IS FREEE!! THAT MEANS IT'S BETTER!" Poor idiots.

And there it is folks. The moment we've all been waiting for. And, yes, that does mean it's better.

edit: I did give you the facts of why I don't use Opera but you didn't seem inclined to discuss that.
