I learned a lot about this forum through many alts. My first was in January of 2003. Trust me, I know who most of you are. You just don't know me. It would be pointless to say who I was, because none of my past accounts were the real me.

I've never had a serious account, until now.

I was completely honest, you dumb cunt. I kinda figured the almighty admin would know this. Though, I'm sure the real reason you banned me was to earn the laughter of your fellow peers. Shame, I don't see too many loling this time. Either that or you're jealous that I have in my posession, an ancient, Egyptian artifact.

Now, in all seriousness, if I PMed you my original user name, would that make you so happy as to unbanning PJS?
You could delete this temp user for all I care...
*Predicting that dave will say no, blurt a few words relating to the female genitalia, IP ban me, followed by user after user saying "lol", not necessarily in that order... but we shall see what's to come of it*

I didn't go trough the whole thread but just something you might want to know about artifact...
I once bought from eBay an egyptian artifact for 120$
Once UPS delivered it they asked me for another 100$ for duties.
Electronics, PCs, cameras=no duties but artefacts and jewelries is something else, same for paintings and sculptures.

That's interesting. I don't understand though. How do they know if it's an artifact, jewelry or whatever? They are just delivering a package. I think I can agree with you somewhat. Perhaps it's only "authentic" things with a special sticker or whatever that require a fee for duties.

And by duties, do they mean doing the same job they do for every other package, or are these duties a sort of insurance...maybe if it's something of signifigant value it's not only delivered, but they secure heavily it and make sure it arrives safely.

Can anyone else add some input?

To my best knowledge, they value the item and then get you to pay a certain % of it for taxes purposes. Someone tell me if I'm wrong but this is what I understood from a duty clerk.

You say you found this item in your posession yet it is photographed in 2 seperate cases that appear to be red and green velvet or something. If you found it as you say, why would you bother to take pics of it in seperate cases just to post the pics here. I call bullshit.

Exactly what I bought at the time. That's a non frequent word that you can remember. It says that every family had a few of them at the time to protect them from malicious... To protect them.

Jesus F. Christ, was that so hard? Now that I know who you are, I don't know why you were banned so I will let you come back. Next time don't be so full of yourself.

lol now I see what you were getting at when you said...
Did it also come with the red and green cases?
Let me explain...those aren't cases, and I didn't photograph anything.... It's scanned. I am guessing those red and green lines you see are some sort of discoloration from the scan because I couldn't shut the lid over a 3D object like that. The lid comes off so I just set it on top. The gray in the background is actually a solid, white colored, thin sheet of plastic over a somewhat thicker piece of foam, meant to keep paper firmly in place for scanning, as most people who own scanners probably know.

And if you're gonna ask how I got the statue and its many broken pieces to lay facing frontwards on the scanner; I layed a piece of cardboard under it, flipped it, put it on the scanner, then pulled the cardboard out from underneath.

Hope that clears it up. Why would I make up a lie like that?

That does make it a bit clearer so to speak. Anytime I've ever tried to scan anything but paper it comes out very washed out with way too much outside light which is why I never would have guessed that they were scanned.
