Patent lawsuits have been filed against Apple Latest News about Apple by two separate companies claiming that Apple has violated patents related to the iPod and the iTunes music store.
Advanced Audio Devices, based in Chicago, is alleging that the iPod digital music device infringes on one of the company's patents covering a "music jukebox."
Hong Kong-based Pat-rights has filed a suit focusing on Apple's digital rights management (DRM) technology, claiming its patent is being violated by the company.

If those wankers win there will be a huge amount of lawsuits launched over vaguely patented ideas. The consumer would be the ones who would lose the most.

I'm well aware of that. Patent law, epsecially in the US, is a joke and needs to be revised.
