I'm not bothered about recording tbh. but maybe there's a tiny radio that could be plugged into the iPod? :!:

The interface is best thing about the ipod(s), then the design. You will want to slip it in your anus for some hot buttsecx. That Good.
But then it would get dirty :(
me gots an iSkin for it, it's like a rubber :)

Have you installed that? I'm pretty skeptical.

There isn't a version that supports the latest click-wheel iPods yet anyway, although it sounds like there will be.

But since it includes the option to boot linux or apple firmware every time you turn it on, I can't see that there's anything to complain about. :icon31:

I could've sworn seeing one somewhere, but a quick google returned nothing.

lol!

You know, Apple should really fucking make a camera attachment for the iPod Photo. If you turned that thing into a 30gb digital camera it would sell like wildfire.

Hell, I'm itching to get the photo model just on the chance that they might make a camera for it. I already know they're making a camera connector, so I'm thinking I could take it on trips with a digicam and take as many pics as I want without having to buy and keep up with a bunch of memory sticks. Plus, color menu.

:icon14: The Shuffle is a great player if playlist management isn't needed.

my store sells over 150 ipods a week, we sell 1 iriver at best, and 2 zen micros on average....

General consesus says the iPod mini.

:)

Personal opinion? iPod mini, Apple are the only company from all the MP3 player manufacturers that actually maintain their product with regular firmware updates and alike. All the rest hardly do jack, and if I was seriously considering anything other than an iPod, it'd have to be a Sony HD3, same sort of physical size as the mini, but 20gbs.

you can pick up the old, 1st gen mini, for real cheap right now.

They just launched a 2nd gen mini with 18hr battery life opposed to 8, but it doesn't come with the firewire cables or a charger... So for the sake of 10 hours battery life you have to charge directly from the PC. The new one is 139.95 and the old one is 125.95....

I guess I am gonna iPod it. I went to currys today and held a white zen micro. While it's even smaller than the iPod mini and has radio, it's just too plasticky looking. I think I'll have to give up on the radio idea.

Yeah it is nice fender and i know I said I probably wouldn't fill the hardrive on a mini iPod, but I'd still like the capability to hold a 1000 tunes just in case. I am totally in love with the iPods looks otherwise I'd have gone for the zen micro or i-river for it's radio.

I feel the same way. I just can't get over how primitive all the other players look in comparison to the iPod.

If I were to buy anything else, I'd feel like I settled for a BetaMax VCR while shopping for a DVD player.

But I've always been picky about my gadgets looking cool. This is no different, except this time I feel like I might be able to get more functionality out of a different model, simply because it's not proprietary. That's why I've been torn, and it's taken me so long to buy one of these damn things. >:E

headphone jack comes use after 2 weeks of wear and tear causing crackling noises... next time you hold one, plug some headphones in and try wiggling them, you'll see...
