Sin City

Post by Transient »

This movie looks like it wants to be this decade's Dick Tracy, which could be good or bad, depending on if they get it right. So far it looks pretty sweet.

I found a new trailer that's over 6 minutes long (55MB):

And here's another regular trailer, different from apple.com's trailer. Smaller size, but worth watching nonetheless:

Yeah, that's what I was thinking with the narration and the 'Coming Soon' at the end. BTW Mickey Rourke looks badass.

Yeah, that wasn't too obvious. ;)
I love the film noir comic book type stuff, so I hope this turns out good.

Lots of big names in the movie, too:
Josh Hartnett
Bruce Willis
Benicio Del Toro
Michael Clarke Duncan
Mickey Rourke
Johnny Depp
Elijah Wood

eidt: anyone know what song is playing in the trailer, btw?

Max Payne is Frank Miller style, thank you very much. :icon25:

I was blown away by how well they adapted his style to film. I just hope they do the story justice as well. :icon14:

edit: Oh, and before someone gets all pedantic on me, I know the style existed long before Frank Miller but he made it his own and I think the Max Payne drew on Miller's particular brand of film noire. It is only my opinion though.

Interesting to note that Quentin Tarentino guest directs some of it.

Are you streaming it or is it on your hard drive? If you DLed it, it may be codecs. Try googling 'VLC media player'. That proggie plays EVERYTHING.
