I liked the movie. It wasn't half as bad as everyone said it was.

Oh yeah, and mostly what I do these days is put all of my latest songs on the iPod and walk around obsessing about the mix. But I've been listening to Flaming Lips, Foo Fighters, The Killers (I agree, it's a grower, although they're a bit blatant about how much they like The Cure) and the Zutons.
Oh, and lots of Satch, of course.

Portishead - Route du Rock 98 (1998-08-15)
I need to see Portishead in a live show before I die. I also need to be insanely high, drunk, or tripping when I finally do. :icon14:

Holy crap!! Someone other than me who's heard Samiam. I only have one song of theirs though .. spent fucking ages back in 97-98 trying to find more. Gonna search again now that getting rare music is a lot easier.

Yeah, I can warmly recommend You Are Freaking Me Out, Clumsy and Astray. Their older stuff varies a lot in quality, so start off with these three albums. Clumsy is a bit angstier than the other two - they're a bit quicker and "happier". They haven't made any full length album since Astray in 2000, but they have apparently re-united now and they're currently on a European tour.
