Guys, you gotta see this BF2 video!

Its almost 1 hour long and its from a release party in Germany... they show some awsome stuff.
You can make own squads within the game and use different colors,lets say me,chunk,memphis,Eraser and soapboy creates a squad and we are given the color green, now the guy that created the squad is the leader and can issue orders ONscreen just like in SWAT 3/SWAT 4 and Raven shield.. or he can hit map and point on a direction and choose attack(or anyother order)... and a GREEN arrow wil show ingame where to go... kinda like in Joint ops(very similiar but better made) and this is only the SQUAD commander, they dident show from the commander view unfortunally.

Other awsome things are those revive things they use in hospitals(those electric things that u jump start the heart with and the doctor screams "CLEAR") taht you can use on your team mates... also, when creating a squad, you can ALWAYS spawn where your squad is as long as atleast one of them are still alive... so nomore spawning 2 miles away from your team mates.

The game ofcourse has IS weapons(iron sights..but ya all knew that) and the maps looks stunning!
It will have built in VOIP,8 classes and alot of other neat stuff.

You probably know most of this, but there is atleast 20 minutes of ingame showing in that video and it will blow EVERYTHING away.

Take the time to download it.. you wont be dissapointed.

I have problems with sound, what codec is this?

EDIT: Nevermind, it works! Was good, but far too much german in it, which makes it worthless. I loved the footage though, they have some great ideas going. Can't wait to see the new AI, I hope they'll make SP fun in Battlefield.

only about 1/2 of it is worth watching, but it looks pretty outstanding. looks increadbly team-centric... so i doubt anyone will have fun outside of clan action.

w0rd, it will be fun if you're in a clan or know lots of good people, but playing on pub servers will probably be horribly painful (as usual)

I belive thats not the case.. i´ve had alot of great games with unknown people in Joint ops..we have created a squad and issued orders to each other..

Its almost scary how much Dice has copied from Joint ops... nothing wrong with it, but its alot(all you that plays it knows what im talking about)... it will probably be much improved and im looking forward to the finished product.

There is ONE thing that i dislike so far and it was the same crap in both BF1942 and Vietnam... its the Tanks, why in gaaawds name have they made it so that one guy can both drive and operate the cannon?
Its bullshit and only cuts down on some great Tank team works...
Its usally 3 guys in a tank, Driver,Gunner and commander... i know they wont change this and it upsets me.
Its great in Joint ops that you have to have a crew of 3 to actually be succesfull on the battlefield.

It may look really cool in this video, but the fact remains that most people don't follow a commanders orders in multiplayer games. Unless it's a clanmatch ofcourse, but I really doubt it will work on public servers.

I think your mixing up the Commander with the Squad leader!?
Anyone can create a team and be the squad leader... the people that join(they choose it)probably join because they want to play with more team work and want to be issued orders...

They never showed the Commander view in the video... dont think ANY video has showed it yet.

The commander is awhole different thing than the Squad leader..
One guy(either by voting or score/rank) on each team will use a RTS view and become the Commander... he dont play as a regular FPS game... he only plays it as an RTS game e.i Command&Concquer.

The squad leader thing works great in Joint ops..Lets say Azer are tired of running around by himself, so he creates a squad and invites players from the same team to join his squad... from there you have a small squad(maybe 4) on the blue team...so a squad within the team so to speak.

Yes, its invite or atleast a request to join the squad.

June 28th....and a MP demo with 2 maps and ALL features included is probably coming by the end of march.
