Post by §ìgñå »

whats the proceedure, or how hard is it to transfer your mysql db say from one webhost to another should you decide to change providers?

is this hard or a pain in the ass to do?

incredibly easy with myphpadmin.

if you have console access, look up the term mysqldump.

you export the data to an sql file and then you import it on your new host.

It is if the versions of MySQL differ significantly (migrating from 4.0 to 5.0 is hell, I tell ya).
