Where the bloody hell are you?
Where the bloody hell are you?
This is the latest advertising campaign from Tourism Australia and has been stirring up quite a controversy. It's been banned in England and Canada so far.
Personally I don't find the swearing offensive but that's just me. I take more issue with the stereotype it portrays of Australians, but that's advertising I guess.
What do you think?

It's true, I listened to a big interview on ABC Newsradio with a representative of whatever body takes care of Canadian censorship issues and they gave a long-winded explanation as to why "hell" is offensive and why the ad was banned.HM-PuFFNSTuFF wrote:i sincerely doubt thatLaw wrote: the Canadians took issue with the word "hell".
unfortunately its true,HM-PuFFNSTuFF wrote:i sincerely doubt thatLaw wrote: the Canadians took issue with the word "hell".
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation would not broadcast the tourism ad during two family programs because of its use of the word 'hell'.
wtf is wrong with the canadian regulators??
Canadian regulators have banned the 'we've bought you a beer' scene from Australia's latest tourism campaign.
The Canadian regulator has banned the scene because it considers implied unbranded alcohol consumption (a part-empty beer glass) is unacceptable.
how embarrassing
