tiff is a fine driver.
there have always been bike vs car features in various magazines..and they are always shit/meaningless
some circuits favour bikes/some favour cars.
the choice of bike/car is always suspect.
a car like a lambo (big engined/heavy/slightly practical) should be up against its bike equivalent - a hayabusa or something else, that isnt a race bike.
a semi-race bike should be up against a semi-race car, something like a caterham, radical, etc...something totally light, totally impractical and much closer in cost than one of the big name supercars.
i would be suprised if any road legal production bike could match this round virtually any track in the world

Hunter S. Thompson wrote a short story about a jeep racing a ducatti once - but the ending is rather apocalyptic as suddenly a blue ball of lightning destroys everyone present, before the race even gets underway.
Generation of Swine (a highly excellent & hilarious book).

There's another bike vs. car shootout done by Fifth Gear:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 5045998925
The bike this time is a Suzuki GSX-R 1000 ridden by Kevin Smith (the same guy who rode the Ducati in the previous shootout). The car is a Westfield XTR4 driven by Vicki Butler-Henderson. According to Vicki, the Westfield is a road-legal car...
I've also posted in another thread sometime ago this Fifth Gear segment on a bike vs. car vs. boat shootout (just a simple drag race):
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 7624681889
Basically a superbike vs. F1 car vs. speed boat shootout (all Honda-powered).
