For those who don't know, it's a SETI@Home kind of thing where they're doing distributed analysing combinations of molecules against a proteine related to cancer, in hopes of finding a cure for cancer. They've had 12 proteines analysed in the first fase of the project, of which 10 are already completely tested in the labs of Oxford university (organizor of the project). The second fase is already well under way.
That link leads to the Giraffe }{unters team page, which is a team Giraffe Hunter set up for Quake3World. Back then it ended up in a big riot. Oh the drama I'm still running it and kinda forgot about it, until recently when my gf asked about it.
You can also set it up to unravel the human genome, which is pretty cool as well.
I've got a 2nd comp here at work that sits idle most of the time. Might as well let it run there.
edit: Dammit, it won't install. Says Windows Installer Service needs to be running, but it already is.
edit2: fixed. I had to add a role to my security settings.
control panel/administrative settings/local security settings/user rights assignment/impersonate a client after authentication - added SERVICE user to this policy

Yeah I just installed it on my work PC as well. I usually simply lock it at the end of the day and leave it running through the night. Can do some significant crunching in the meantime. Not exactly a lightningfast CPU, but at 1.8GHz it should add up nicely. I'm still pleasantly surprised at how low the impact on system performance is.

Kracus get your story straight. You're not a violent person, you just do business in clubs. But while you're not a violent person, some of your friends are and if you said you wanted someone beaten with a lead pipe, they would do it.
