Is this a spyware program...?

Post by KingManULTRA »

Go here:

http://cube.ign.com/articles/380/380007p1.html

After the site is loaded, the words "game" and "Wind Waker" in the text are highlighted in green and a weird box appears if I move my cursor over it.

I've seen this a lot on certain sites. Is this done intentionally by the individual websites or something to worry about? Any way to turn it off?

I added http://www.intellitxt.com/ to the Filter Rules on AdBlock Plus 0.6.1.2. but they didn't go away?

it's a javascript embedded in the page! the intellitxt script url for that site is:
http://cube.ign.us.intellitxt.com/intellitxt/front.asp

so add intellitxt.com to your rules, without the subdomain.

Mine seems to have it blocked, but it's not in the adblock rules.

Oh wait, it's a javascript thing then get this extension: noscript
