that the original FBI spying operation - COINTELPRO - was revealed by a group of anonymous citizens who illegally broke into an FBI station.

strictly speaking, leaking government documents is also illegal, so the downing street memo falls into the same sort of category. the DSM was a smoking gun that proved the whole thing was a lie and that 'diplomacy' was merely a cover for aggression

the shit they have now records all keystrokes typed on everyone computer in the united states and beyond that has internet access...so if u don't even send it out to the world the still know...its almost like they know what ur thinking...
a defining attribute of a government is that it has a monopoly on the legitimate exercise of violence...

Well, in this case you could argue it was constitutional because the people who pulled it off were defending their negative liberity--freedom from unlawful government action.
