A repeater? Do you mean another wireless peer node? If you're using just some kind of wireless repeater, you'll probably save yourself a lot of headache by just buying another wireless router that's the same brand as the one you already have, and using that to increase your distance.

what's the problem exactly? can they see each other at all? some wireless products have a different default ip to others, so you'd need to temporarily set a machine to have an ip in the same range while you configure it.
