Do yanks really eat a lot of burgers?
An Australian burger of course...
Me, well I prefer the personally hand made type, like you get so fresh at the local fish & chip shop.
You do have fish & chip shops where you are I hope :icon26:
Now the best hamburger doesn't have to be one with 'the lot' but should definately include sliced tomato and beetroot, with a good serve of finely cut, still crisp 'iceberg' lettuce, an inch (25mm) thick (homemade, well in the shop) course mince pattie, cooked to just this side of burnt on both sides but still a little red in the middle (fast cooking does that) fried (or fresh) sliced onion, all on a lovely fresh bun, so soft your fingers pierce the crust, that is why they are usually lightly toasted. Add a little salt/pepper.... Yum.
Now you could add a fried egg, a slice cheese, slices pineapple, rash or two of fried bacon.
That's a hamburger, none of this mass produced stuff for me :icon25:

Well played.
In response to your question, yes Americans do eat an inordinate amount of burgers. My personal favorite is to buy the ground beef, throw in some liptons soup mix, a couple pieces of bread and 2 eggs. Mix it up and seperate into thick patties. Throw em on the grill, when they're done cooking put some blue cheese chunks on top and lay a piece of swiss over them. Lettuce, Mayo and tomatoes. Yum.

[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.

good for you, I eat whatever anyone puts on my plate even that, but for the spreadable condiments I prefer the Texas-Arkansas connection of just regular mustardSOAPboy wrote:Mayo + Katchup = Ownage..menkent wrote:can't say i eat that many burgers, but i pwns fries... with mayo, euro-stylez. :pimp:
I eat for lunch on average 2-3 a week, MacDonalds (ketchup yuck) Burger King (mustard whopper, good) Whataburger (the best of fast food burgers.) Sometimes a Sonic Supersonic 2 (mustard instead of mayo) Sonic is still on of the few places (outside of whataburger when they have the specials) where you can order a double chiliburger around here. Two meat patties onions cheese and chili. Devine
