Or is that an outdated stereotype? I was wondering, since I'm enjoying a cup of "White Rice." Should I be looking for some sort of authentic "Asian" rice?
Asian or otherwise, what kinds of rice would you all recommend?
My roommate and I always buy the big white bags of HOMAI rice. It's not bad. If you plan to eat a rot of rice, buy yourself a ricecooker. You don't need a fancy one with an electric dicksucker chip if you're the average person. Though really, white rice is shit for nutritional value. I'd eat brown rice as it's got a lot more nutrients, but it just tastes like shit. I don't want a big brown pile of shit in my mouth; I'm not that asian.
Africans brought rice from the (surprise) Rice Coast of Africa to the southern plantations of South Carolina back in the eighteenth century. Forget about azns...
in the school i work in they have white rice 3 times a week as part of their school lunch.
i would say on average more than 50% of evening meals in japan have some rice.
i dont however think anyone actually pays for rice..somehow everyone knows someone who has a farm, and gives it to them free.
my ex-wifes parents had a rice farm...my ex-gf's grandparents also had a rice farm. some girl i know now, gets rice, cooks it, freezes it, and then gives it to me.

that's quite a valid question
