Why does FF in OSX suck?

Post by Iccy »

Man i cant get over how poor it runs compared to windows. Camino is great, but FF ... egad. I miss my extentions.

Is this just me? Any work arounds/tweaks/whatever?

it is shite, I gave up and moved to Camino - which is better than ff or safari imo,

actualy i found a alternative way to satisfy myself i think.

Instead of hitting the delicious button i just f12 and pull up the dashboard and use a delicious widget. It could use some work, like making it sizable and if it organize them a lil, justy give the tag list like in delicious, i would be much happier with this solution.

I mean basicly all the extensions you need can more or less be done through a widget i guess. f12 isnt hard to hit, though i miss having it in the browser.

Bottom line, ill miss FF. But this will do. Camino is the fastest of all the browsers, so i guess ill be using that. I think it has some 3rd party addon capability anyway.

Like what?

I've been switching all over. First Safari, then Firefox, then Camino (in conjunction with FF cause of 2 extensions), now Safari again with Saft, which works like a charm. Only issue is that my gf can't load her Hotmail in Safari, just a blank screen.

But Camino is great, for sure.

btw, I ditched my dock in favour of Quicksilver. The learning curve was steep, but worth it. Damn, it does everything now with a few keystrokes.
