It's easy to customize the sound Andy. Just look inside Trillian\stixe\plugins\Tonal-Sounds . I replaced the sounds with some subtle ones (some from Doom 3 and Far Cry too

). Just take a wav file and rename it to the sound you want to replace.

I use trillian, too, but I'm kinda confused as to how to get into irc channels (i used to use icechat). I connected but there was an empty window....

i hate people who do that. luckily trillian (and maybe messenger nowadays too) offers the rename feature. i just force some people's names and i never have to bother with people who use songlyrics decorated with rainbows and hearts as screennames
