New lens, 17-55mm f/2.8 IS

http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/contro ... elid=12955

looks good, but apparently the MSRP is $1150. If it was 600-700$ I'd go for it, but for that price I'd rather get a 70-200mm f/2.8L and keep using my other lenses.

My kit came with the

Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 Zoom Lens

That one has IS so that jacks the price up alot..

Although I did pick up
Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM AF Lens for about $575...

Another new product, hello 30D!

http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/contro ... elid=12929

Looks like it has the same sensor as my 20D, but it has a bigger buffer and spot metering :o

the lumix range own. i still love my camera, and wouldn't mind the new dslr (if it turns out to be decent, which is pretty inevitable)

think so too, it also has the 'Live Preview' feature the E330 is notorious for.
Als a lot of manual settings for more control, which is nice.
and its Four-Thirds (y)

The new 85 f/1.2 is the real winner of the new announcements. I don't do child size cameras or glass :P
