Yes, I have.
I had to get punctured in the face and head. It wasn't very nice. it hurt like fuck.
It helped a little, but not really worth the pain.

Well mine is going to be in lower part of my spine so i hope it wont
hurt as much as being repeatedly stabbed in the face! Im hoping
it will have some effect on me because my back is causing me all
sorts of other propblems round my body :/

I had it in my lower back for back problems and it didn't hurt at all. I wasn't a believer in acupuncture until I had it done to me and it definately works. Had it done on a weekly basis for about 2 months, probably 15 needles each time. I'd guess the pain factor is governed by whether the person performing the acupuncture on you is competent or not. If your doctor knows what he's doing then you have nothing to worry about.Don Carlos wrote:jesus christ!corncobman wrote:Yes, I have.

Good luck.
So? Placebo effect, anyone? As long as it works...Transient wrote:Acupuncture is a bullshit pseudoscience. Anyone who thinks it worked for them is a victim of the power of suggestion.
@DC: Never had it myself, but a buddy of mine did for shoulder pain. He said it worked miracles at first, but the pain returned and he was asked to continue going in for expensive follow-ups. Kind of like chiropractic. He just gave up after two.
I'd say it's worth at least a try.
Taking a pill is a lot cheaper than what it costs for acupuncture.
Now that I think about it, there are cheaper ways to rid one's self of back pain. Exercising, stretching, eating healthy, changing sitting posture... it's all a lot cheaper than getting needles poked in your body.

If this doesnt work it would be MRI anyway to determin if i have colapsed discs in my back :/

Cant afford it? Jellus?
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.

Not Prozac but something similar and it's definitely not just a placebo. My dick is a witness in this case.werldhed wrote:The placebo effect is a medically sound, scientificially publishable phenomenon. People already do pay a lot of money to go to the doctor and get prescribed placebos. Anyone ever been on Prozac?

from what i understand...the better the acupunturist, the less it will hurt (just a general rule AFAIK).Don Carlos wrote:jesus christ!corncobman wrote:Yes, I have.
