Bah...all of my points have been mentioned, but I'll say them anyway:
-Put all those mods on the M3 and race, then make a decision on the better car.
-Racing aside, so many other factors make the M3 my choice, not least of which is that I cringe every time I see an Acura
-:olo: at andyman's pic. Odd coincidence, recently near my home I saw an NSX and I saw my 2nd Elise. I also spotted a Ford GT, and a few other exotics. Pretty cool.

Those rx-7's are no joke. They have the potential to be really fast.andyman wrote:and then i saw an rx-7 with some really really REALLY wide tires on the back, and what looked like a mystichrome paint job. it looked okay, but all i could think about was how stupid the fast and the furious is.
I figured he was off to the local ricer meeting point and sure enough he was...
There was a kid I used to work with at Target who drove one that his daddy bought him at an auction. I see tons of the new Elises though. I've even seen a few of the acidic puke green.andyman wrote:which reminds me... I took this pic last weekend. http://forums.montrealracing.com/showpo ... stcount=32That is my car in the video. I'm sorry, but I can't read all of the French replies. Yes, that was an M3. Yes, he had downshifted. Yes, he did get on it.
for fucks sakes, read that thread. Lots of people thought they weren't racing. That ITR has 231whp, it probably runs mid-high 12's, OF COURSE it can demolish a stock M3. Btw, Bitwise, there are no automatic E46 M3's, that one was SMG.

im not one to side with BMWs
but i recognize the superiority of the m3. i'd put money on the fact that the m3 would completely dessimate that acura on a proper course that has these things called turns--perhaps you've heard of them?
i'd hardly qualify a pull as a race either. with my turbo i can easily win a quick pull race, but on a course that actually takes a bit more skill, like turning the steering wheel, i'd be harder pressed to keep up with a more agile car...cuz lets face it the wrx isn't exactly a beaut when it comes to corner intensive tracks.

are you seriously fucking retarded? the m3 has 330+ hp. that's RWHP. granted the m3 is heavier but it still runs all over that piece of shit honda in anything you can possibly test.ToxicBug wrote:http://forums.montrealracing.com/showth ... p?t=302567andyman wrote:yeah and then the cameraman starts laughing right before it cuts out.bitWISE wrote:

PS: i laugh at tards like you all the time when they try to race me. just because i can walk away from 95% of things that try to race me doesn't mean i'll make an ass of myself on public streets.
m3s, evos, stis, those are fast cars that can actually run with me if they have engine work. hondas i just laugh at.

Actually that integra has a track setup, its not a drag car. Plus, the Integra Type R was manufactured as a very serious track car in mind, it handles like a beast. With handling mods and all the extra power, it would be interesting to see who won on a track, it should be pretty damn close. After all, we're not talking about a Mustang GT here or some other useless-in-a-bend american car, lol.Grandpa Stu wrote:but i recognize the superiority of the m3. i'd put money on the fact that the m3 would completely dessimate that acura on a proper course that has these things called turns--perhaps you've heard of them?

You have just removed all the credibility from yourself by posting that. You obviously don't understand the difference between whp and bhp, so I'll have to explain it to you since I'm nice and so that people don't laugh at you when you say stupid things like that.
The M3 has 333BHP, not WHP. The manufacturers give the horsepower at the crank, not at the wheels. That integra was 231WHP. That number is taken from a dyno pull and it is more important than BHP since fwd, rwd, and awd cars all have different power loss through the transmission.
FYI, on a front wheel drive car, 231WHP is probably actually 260-270BHP at the crank. The M3 has 333BHP. The M3 weighs 3400lbs and the Integra Type R weighs 2600lbs, or even less if it has gone through weight reduction. Now do you think that 60bhp in a rwd car (more power loss through the tranny) is enough to compensate for an 800lbs difference?

This is how you figure out actual horsepower, not some shitty dyno.
