Mozilla 1..x?

Post by Fender »

I'm looking around mozilla.com and can't find a download for older versions. Anyone know where I can get the last 1.4 build? Or whatever the last version was before the piece of shit that is 1.5 was?

Nevermind. I changed the URL and got 1.0.7.

Using FF+TB 1.5 isn't an option?

1.5 crashes all the time. Previous versions were fine. I even tried no extentions. I tried uninstalling, deleting profiles and directories manually, and then reinstalling. Still crashes.

We've been having some problems with our proxy servers (squid) here @ work, so I'm wondering if there's some sort of strange interaction between the two.

I don't think 1.5 crashed at home for me, but I can't say for certain.

1.5 is insanely slow. I had to revert back to 1.0.7 almost immeadiately. Try alt-tabbing out of a game and into firefox 1.5 and you'll see what I mean.

i'm surprised more people dont keep backups of old software installs. i've got 5gb worth of misc apps.

I've noticed none of this. I do Alt-Tab out of games pretty often.

I just cleaned up my software folder and removed most of the old stuff, but it's for stuff where I know the new is working.

I think ppl are mixing up the Mozilla suit and Firefox here. FF 1.4 doesn't exist (Fender was talking about Mozilla).

Actually, I wasn't talking about Mozilla. I just forgot what the previous version of FF before 1.5 was.

LoL, ok. No problems with FF 1.5.0.1 here whatsoever (except some images not loading sometimes when i open many).

You can get the Stipe build of 1.0.7 (or 1.5) too. It's optimized for SSE.

Looks interesting, but the 1.0.7 build has been removed.

I had memory issues in 1.5 but ever since FF 1.5.0.1 I don't really have any problems.

Alt+tab works fine between games, no crashes so far. The same on 3 computers in my house.

Fender, what I meant in my last post is that I have the 1.0.7 installer on my hard drive. If you want it I can upload it.
