Thus killing 2 birds with one stone - I don't have room for a TV in my crappy student flat, and my dad needs to capture some video off a friend's camcorder. porn obviously.

Decent Remote, Analog and Digital reception, breakout cables for input and external aerial, PVR and all that jazz.

Just ordered from play.com for £99. Will give an overview when I get it.

This thing is pretty boss. The packaged aerial is useless with the signal strength I get here, and even the powered unit I added has to be dangled out of the velux to get channels.

Aside from that, the unit itself is a bit useless as a USB dongle. The only benefit of that is it's really easy to move between PCs. By the time you've added the cables to both ends it's more cumbersome than a card.

The remote is good. Although the IR receiver is on the cables and not the dongle, which is super dumb.

Haven't tried the capture stuff yet. Powercinema is a nice app overall but has lots of dumb bugs.

Anyone know a good alternative to powercinema for watching digital through this?
