Playing through this one now. Seems harder than HL2. And a bit different somehow. I like it a lot I think I like the idea behind it and how you are taken around the world/time etc.. Definitely worth a check if you enjoyed HL2 and want more.
Haven't played this. Not sure if it's HL2 themed or not, but might be worth checking out.
These are all sinleplayer mods with the HL2 feeling to them (except the last maybe), which is what I've been looking for. There are more mods in the file directory at http://halflife2.filefront.com/ though.

Also after installation follow these instructions to get the most out of the added graphics effects.
Go To set up your controls.
Go Into advanced and allow console.
Set a button for your melee attack and one for your bullet time.
Load any map by going to console and typing 'map(space)' then use your arrow keys to cycle through the maps.
Once the map is running bring down your console and type
sv_cheats 1
sv_infinite_aux_power 1
r_grenadeeffect 2
r_drawbullettimeeffects 3
you'll only have to enter the last 3 once when you install the mod but the first two commands will have to be entered every time you play the game. I recommend binding them to keys.
and you're done
