You should go put flowers on his/her kitty grave or take the ashes and scatter them somewhere. You can say goodbye then.... I still put flowers on the graves of my childhood pets when I go home for the holidays. Three cats and a dog I had for years and years, you know? It's odd maybe, but we have a little pet cemetary. It's good closure.
