Imo the root of the problem lies in the adults in third world countries that have so much offspring - having 6-10 kids pretty much guarantees that many of them will have a troubling upbringing. It's hard enough for most folks in america having 6 kids to raise, and it must be a fucking nightmare for most in those poorer regions.
The sad part is, a lot of people don't realize that slavery doesn't just occur in third world countries or in far off places in the world. A lot of it happens in developed nations as well. In developed nations, a large part of it involves human trafficking, for example, the sex trade. A lot of women are smuggled from poorer nations with the promise of a better life, only to find themselves being traded for sex. Since they are smuggled in, they are afraid of the authorities and are often threatened and abused into submission.

Actually the Dutch just invented trade routes. Africans invented slavery and sold their goods (the slaves) to the Dutch. The Dutch did not enslave anyone, they mearly bought the slaves.

Ya well that's how it started anyway. Not saying it was right for the Dutch to buy slaves. Most ppl just don't realize that it was the Africans who fucked themselves over in the beginning.
