they revised their terms of agreement and 'allowed' them to stay

Good for them actually. If you read about what happened you'd know it was one GM acting unilaterally that threatened the ban and since that GM "represents" Blizzard as a whole the caught a lot of flack. Good for them for being apologetic.

I can see the reasoning of Blizzard to not allow gay only guilds, but if they don't allow that, then they should disallow every ".... only" guild.

It's pretty much against the law to exclude any group of people from participation based on religion, race or gender.

fun trivia, the guild she was running was gay friendly, not gay only. as in, everyone's welcome, as long as you dont crack gayjokes and gay offensive language.
blizzard thought this was unacceptable, yet they allowed the christian only (i'll say it again, ONLY) guild to stay :dork:

I was playing devil's advocate a bit in the last post, because I do find it rather hypocrite for Blizzard to not allow gay only guilds while they do allow christian only guilds.
