i'm up to the first vehicle bit, and wouldn't you know it, instead of using the strafe steering from UT2004 they opted for mouse steering instead, thus introducing an element of unredeemable faggotry into an otherwise average game

i thought the vehicles were great too, the way you could look over your shoulder and suddenly find yourself heading back the way you came was a great laugh.

for me, the best moment was shortly after the bit you're on now - where i blasted my way into a fortress and instantly fell through the map geometry to be trapped in the grey limbo beneath. not even half a dozen tries at restoring my save point and attacking in a different way could rescue the situation, lol! fun times.

oh, and did i mention that the weapons were all designed by little girls? little girls in pink dresses with fluffy bunnies and puppies and lollipops who know jack shit about making a satisfying FPS weapon

the one redeeming feature is the natural landscape, which looks good, and the UT2 engine renders it efficiently as you'd expect

It was pure shit, I managed to play just past the second vehicle bit (where you drive around the prison area with those gay flying things and basically just shoot everything that moves), and then I gave up and uninstalled it.

The story was WTF (protecting some girl that can survive a nuclear bombardment), the enemies were shit (who are these fucking people and why am I killing them?), and it had that gay ass UT movement and crappy weapon feeling.

I'm glad I just warezed it, I'd never pay money for that piece of crap.
