Anyone with a 360 tried this yet? My buddy brought his 360 when he came up this weekend and we installed the software to link it with media center 2005. It's pretty amazing because it basically turns your xbox into a terminal of the media center app. The one downside I noticed is that the video decoder is pretty much shite.

that's odd, I used the xbox to playback recorded TV from my MCE 2005 and it looked great in High def on my plasma. So great I was thinking of using that instead of my MCE pc in my living room.

Several clips wouldn't play and several of them skipped horribly. It could be because I haven't installed all the codec packs on my MCE installation yet. The image quality was pretty shitty too but then again I wasn't using amazing clips to begin with. This was all done on an average flat-tube TV.MKJ wrote:i heard several people talking about poor playback on the 360. ghosting et al (on normal teevees even). weird eh

They want you to use WiFi A because less people use it and it's less likely to have channel interferance. WiFi A has more channels in a totally different frequency so less chance of a neighbor being onthe same channel or a cordless phone.Doombrain wrote:They advise the use of wifi-a for some reason. i've got G, so it better fucking work. need it so the other half can watch TV on the other TV
