If it's timed - it's a sport (rowing, running, cycling, swimming, skating, x-country skiing, etc)
If it has points - it's a game (soccer, basketball, baseball, football, hockey, etc)
If it's judged - it's an art (figure skating, gymnastics, etc)

By this logic, ballroom dancing is a sport.

Judged by subjective panel = competition, but not sport imo
