Rodeo and Bullfighting are sports because the involve the potential for death. No one died playing golf unless they got struck by lightning

he plays the ancient sport of sitting in front of a monitor upping his post count from dusk til dawn.
Unreal. Sounds like a tricky sport.

driving a car involves the potential for death. Is driving to work a sport?

The speed skating 5km and 3km's were awesome. Me being Dutch and all, it was close to nerve wrecking.

the only thing i watch at the winter olympics is the Ski jumping (because its insane), speed skating is ok, and the mens hockey tournament.
But i'm still really bitter about Ryan Miller getting the shaft and not being the TeamUSA goalie, so i may not even watch that.
(canada is going to crush everyone anyway)
and NBC's coverage is seeming to be worse than usual... thank god i live close enough to canada to watch their coverage.

For me, sports are played by athletes. This guy does not strike me as an athlete (sorry Fuzzy). I see golf as more of a game. But the line is blurry.

heh, the 'what defines a sport' debate.
We've been here before. Quite a few times.

fuzzy's a senior btw. tiger woods would fit into the athletic category. you have to realize it takes stamina to walk 18 holes AND stay in top form mentally and physically. in a 4 day tournament a golfer may walk up to 16-20 miles in some pretty hot weather.

Just because it doesnt involve strenuous activity doesnt mean its not a sport. It is still a game of physical skill.

And Figure Skating is not? Landing those jumps most likely cracks your knees and ancles pretty bad.

i also go to the gym regularly.
