so, Halo is really quite gay then
i'm up to the first vehicle bit, and wouldn't you know it, instead of using the strafe steering from UT2004 they opted for mouse steering instead, thus introducing an element of unredeemable faggotry into an otherwise average game

dont see why everyone has so many problems with its vehicle control. its exactly the same as the FPS controls. point where you want to go and press forward.
a jeep hardly ever strafes :icon32:
(although the Ghosts and Banshee's later on can strafe. leave that to the covenant)

there's just one problem, ace. halo uses the halo engine, so the UT2004 reference is meaningless hereI cant spell u wrote:i'm up to the first vehicle bit, and wouldn't you know it, instead of using the strafe steering from UT2004 they opted for mouse steering instead, thus introducing an element of unredeemable faggotry into an otherwise average game

UT2004 & HL2 use the strafe keys for steering, the mouse for aiming onboard weapons or looking aroundMKJ wrote:dont see why everyone has so many problems with its vehicle control. its exactly the same as the FPS controls. point where you want to go and press forward.

the scorpion can strafe too btw, because youre controlling the cannon and the vehicle at the same time (much like UT/HLs vehicles)
