Just saw it on the news... Bush though that terrorists were about to blow up LA's Liberty Tower... But there is no Liberty Tower. Theres a Library Tower...?

"The intended target of the attack was a building then known as the Library Tower. It was renamed the U.S. Bank Tower in 2003 and, at 1,018 feet, is the tallest building west of the Mississippi River."

More clarity on this (from nytimes.com):

"Counterterrorism officials said months ago that the Los Angeles skyscraper (Mr. Bush mistakenly called it the "Liberty Tower") would be a logical target for a West Coast attack. Given its iconic status, it is easy to see why America-haters would rejoice at seeing it fall — as some rejoiced when the Twin Towers in New York collapsed."

It's all about trying to justify the illegal wiretapping by saying "See! See! If we didn't do it we wouldn't have stopped the terrorists."

All you have to do is watch the timing of certain announcements and you'll see exactly how the Bush administration/Karl Rove's propaganda machine actually works.
