Seems like a boring game so far. Very low score. I'd much rather be watching that than coding up this fucking COBOL program. Yes...they still teach this shit.

Yeah steelers were really poor on offense in the first half, hopefully they can roll with the momentum from now on.

I like both teams, but this has really been some more of the same old horseshit officiating in the NFL. The offensive pass interference was a weak call. The holding that brought back the Seattle pass to the 1 yard line and was followed with an interception. The call against hasselbeck for the TACKLE. I mean shit, usually bad calls don't impact the score as much as they did in this game, but some of those bad calls go the other way and this is a whole different game.

Still glad to see Cower (sp?) win, but FFS its time for the NFL to step up and start taking care of these horrible officials.

I'd say that the horrid officiating made for an uninspiring game because it prevented both team's offenses from really being able to go after each other all out.

Coincidentally, the last football game I remember watching was the game between the Bills and whoever when Frank Reich orchestrated the greatest comeback in sports history. Later I was disappointed by my team and stopped watching.

Maybe it's just because I only wanted the Steelers to lose (Roethelissbugger irritates the fuck out of me), and I'm a diehard Pats (the greatest team in the history of the NFL) fan, but nothing about this game really got me fired up. I normally root for the underdog, but because Shittsburgh sucks so very, VERY many sweaty balls I was pulling for the Seahawks. I enjoyed them scoring, but still, meh.
It may also be the fact that I was working geometry proofs at the same time. That's a real boner killer. :olo:

Pats fan? What the fuck I thought they died off this year...in my dreams I guess. :icon5:

No the steelers wherent great, but the hawks shot themselves in the foot and didnt finish, no knockout punch. The steelers offense however took enough shots and made some big plays so they won the game. As a steelers fan I'll take it. :icon26:

Been skimming the net, and pretty much across the board everyone is saying that this is the worst officiated game in SuperBowl history and just further damages the NFL's weak reputation. Even some steeler's fans posts I am reading are saying that they don't feel too happy about the way the game went down.

And, btw, the hawks had the knockout punch. Like the pass to the 1 yard line that got taken back for an imaginary hold. Like the touchdown that got reversed for an absolute joke of an offensive pass interference call. etc..

But it was obvious ABC wanted the Steelers to win. Hell, all the vignettes and shit during the game were Steeler's players caressing the Lombardi trophy. It was basically a documentary about the Steelers.

That was only the first half, second half had hawks adverts with the trophy.

While there where some bad calls I dont think it was all that horrendous, biased I guess though.

Even if there was bad calls, the hawks could have won it, but that late interception killed them. /me shrugs.

Poor Clock management at the end of both halves.
Some dropped passes.
Poor play in the last four minutes.
The interception.
Gave up to many big plays, especially considering that was all the steelers got yardage on.

Hawks lost for plenty of reasons.

There still 3 big plays, the only real plays the steelers had, that didnt get stopped. I admit there where some questionable calls, but they didnt cost the hawks the game imo on thier own, they just added to the collapse, but we will never know...
