Kickass Sinclair Spectrum website!

I dunno about the rest of you, but the Sinclair Spectrum was the thing that got me into computer games. The C64 was more popular outside the UK I believe, but I owned my Spectrum 128k until 1992 when the whole scene pretty much died (actually, I owned a few, including earlier ZX-81 and 48K models which I broke in fits of rage). Shit, even typing about it now floods back loads of memories of just how fucking cool they were.

Anyway, check the mag scan archives on that site. I used to collect a few of them in the late 80's/early 90's which I threw out about 7 years ago. Your Sinclair owned, as did Crash! There are even torrent files with all the pages scanned in... nicely!

I'm in that nostalgic mood to whip out an emulator and play classics like Saboteur and Sabre Wolf, but I know that if I do that, they're only gonna suck and totally kill the memory of em.

Call me a geek, but this thread is dedicated to the Sinclair Spectrum - the greatest computer ever.

I mean look at that! See how proud the father is that his son has in his possession the greatest invention since the toilet? And that loving look in the kids eye, knowing that even though he'll still get molested, he will have some kickass games to play after the father/son bumlove is done. Awesome.

Fuck yeah, a friend of mine had a ZX Spectrum back in the day. Those rubber keys were awesome, I remember playing Spy Hunter, Exploding Fist and Jet Set Willie for hours and hours.

about 18-20 years ago, a friend of mine had what I think was a sinclair.

There were a couple games that stuck in my memory - one was called green beret, and the other was this interesting game that had different stages and each stage was a different type of gameplay. I remember one stage where you had to manouvere some parked fighter planes out of a hanger. I can't remember anything else about that game though... except that i had a lot of fun playing and watching it being played.

edit: omg memory flash!

green beret - i remember it being so tough!
