help with server?

so ur upload is around 900kbps, that isn't much. You might consider making the rate 15000 if you want 8 ppl on ur server afaik... I have the same upload and I had some server making attempts in the past... never worked well enough for me to bother keeping it up

In all seriousness, \rate 12000 is acceptable for most people and \rate 25000 is a luxury.

You can comfortably pull \snaps 40 \cl_maxpackets 60 with \rate 12000 without missing any frames.

What's the command for the client to see the server settings (snaps, rate, etc)?

serverstatus

or serverstatus 65.32.95.138 will work as well.

EDIT: Actually.... it's been so long since I've messed with Q3 ( SHAME ON ME! ) It looks like the server status doesn't show rate or snaps.

I do know that in OSP you can use the command: settings to see the current settings for that server and game mode.

thanks I got on IM with the guy and helped him out, it was easier for him to read me the config....

Rate was 3000 ouch!
