Yeah, it's been 24 hours since I found out, I'm all settled now, he's a dick for selling it and not letting me know, he's even more of a dick for not even shooting me 10 bucks.. I'm not going to pursue it, it's on him.. he's shown how he treats his peeps so I'll let it slide. I have my life, he has his, if he needs to sell other people's stuff to feel good about himself, let it be.. I'll just move my stuff from e-places.net and let everyone I know to stay away from there as well.

JT was really cool to me for 5 or so years, I helped him and Zxel and oFxLed Zepplin build clanservers.net and promoted them whenever I had a chance. He gave me free hosting for several years, apparently $2000 worth. I'll call it even, and I'll go my way, he can go his. I'm more upset that I got used by someone I thought to be a decent friend, hell I got Christmas cookies from Jon at Clanservers.net last year..

Well if he had thrown you money, and you had taken it, your legal footing would be shaky. The fact that he did not pay you, or try to pay you, makes it very clear that he didn't commission, contract, or pay as an employe for your work.

Long as the web site did not have a contract, requiring you of waving your legal rights to your intellectual property a pone upload, then it's still your intellectual property. It'll help if you have source documents for your content.

You have two legal issues. One the new owners of the domain name using your content with out your permission. The second being the seller
committing fraud. I'd start by sending a letter to the isp and account owner to take down the website on grounds of infringement property infringement.

They'll probable take the seller on for fraud.

sweet finally got an email from Viruseater once I CC'd the new owners on my emails to Viruseater;
