If you want to keep the original stereo your best bet would be to see if they make a CD changer interface that fakes out the stereo into thinking your iPod is a CD Changer. It may even give you some functionality of switching tunes from your original stereo.
Your next best bet while keeping the original radio is to buy an Active FM Modulator It goes inline with your antenna and cuts the signal so you have no static issues. If anyone is in the market for the “supposed BEST” FM Modulator the Audiovox FMM100A is the one to get. Street Price $59.99 can be found on eBay for half that NEW. Wiring is simple Accessory and ground, then a switch to turn the transformer on and off. It makes a dam good quality hook up for those of you with iPods, or other MP3 devices.

Your last thought would be a passive FM modulator or cassette. Honestly for $25.00 and 15 minutes work you can have a decent sound out of the active modulator.

What happens if you want to hear something and its not on your ipod?R00k wrote:There's nothing wrong with the iTrip at all. I'm thinking about buying the newer version, with the LCD display and freq. buttons.
It's great. Even when I'm in the middle of nowhere I can listen to whatever I want. :icon14:

Apple sure like to toss things in there at random..
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.
