How much$ is a salad...

Post by Guest »

During the summer a lettuce, brocoly, colly flower sell anywhere in betwen 50cents and 1$ but at this time of the year they sell for 2.50$ to 5$. What is the $ in your area, does it change or is it the same all year long?

A ''etiquette'' thing that 99.9% of the people don't know...Salad is supposed to be eaten after the main meal.
But thanks for your reply, where are you coming from, where you hiding in a closet somewhere?

An uncle of mine even ate his dessert before because it helps to digest your meal. Another one had his full meal and dessert in the same plate, he says it's all going to the same place any way. Weird, but he really ate like that.

hah.

The reason chinese/asian folk eat fruits/vegetables (especially oranges or mangos) after their main course is it aids in digestion and helps keep stomach pains down. I've tried it a few times before and it actually works. Shovel down a shitwad of chinese "food", eat an orange and a small mango pudding and you feel just great. No bloated feeling or like "ugh I shouldn't have eaten all that trash". One of my buddies said the acids in the orange help...somehow. Not sure how.

Maybe the salad is the same thing? I always eat it first though, so I get my digestive juices flowing so when I devour that 16oz steak my stomach is ready for it heh.

the dessert thing isnt true. eating desserts is fattening because the sugars and eggwhites slow down the metabolism.
therefore eating it prior to the meal will only slow everything down.
