Tonight I was at a (rather shitty) club with a friend. Nothing special.

However, when we wanted to leave, his jacket was missing. (SURPRISE! Don't just put your jacket on some bar stool and expect it to be there when you come back)

We searched the entire place to no avail. Nobody saw anything.

Frustrated, we decided to go home and check with the place next week, maybe the jacket would turn up in Lost&Found.

When we arrived at the bus station, there's two guys, one of them wearing my friends jacket.

My friend was like: "Reach into the inside pocket. There'll be some matches from an italian restaurant inside. You stole my jacket dude, take it off right now and there won't be any trouble."

I was like: "FUCKING TAKE OFF THE GODDAMN JACKET YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE OR I'M GOING TO FUCK YOU UP!!!" (I'm pretty drunk)
My friend told me to calm down, there wouldn't be any problems.

You know what that thieving asshole said?
"Hey guys, let's talk about it! And (directed at me) don't start stressing us out!"

I was like "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST SAY???"

While holding me back, my friend said: "Calm down, Jan, he's going to take off the jacket. You, take off the jacket now, alright? Or I'll call the police!"

Again, I was ready to flip: "I don't understand how you can be so calm?!? THAT FUCKING ASSHOLE STOLE YOUR JACKET!!!!!!!!!"

Then he just took off the jacket and left.
Sometimes I just don't understand why I can't use physical violence in situations where physical violence is absolutely appropriate. The dude wasn't even taller then me.
5 minutes later my friend was like: "I guess you were right. We should have beaten the hell out of them."

in most situations people that would do such a thing are not the ones with the best moral characterisitcs to begin with...hence he wouldn't think much before he did somethign just as equaly coward-like , knows he might of had a knife or even a gun or god knows what.

I say try to resolve the situation as calmly as possible, if you get the results you want then why risk a fight that might
a: get your drunk ass beat or even killed
b: get arrested over some jacket grabbing pussy, because you kicked his ass.

I don't know about you, but me getting mad and beating the crap out of somebody is even more satisfiyng and justified when knowing that I tried everything else first, and even then they chose not to do the right thing...I dunno it feels more righteous
