A paper on the universe.
A paper on the universe.
So, I could use some help. I have to write a paper on how the universe was created, but I can tie in anything else related to it (various tests, projects, theories, etc.)
I thought I'd ask for help, cause I'm not very knowledgeable in this field, neither do I know all the relevant terminology due to the fact that English isn't my first language, so maybe you could point out a few things/aspects I could/should write about, and if you have some links about it on-hand, it would be greatly appreciated too.

I suggest you read a book called "The Dancing Wu-Li Masters". It's got a lot of good stuff in it about the creation of the universe. As well, check out Scrooge's Cryptic Carol : Visions of Energy, Time, and Quantum Nature. Follows the Scrooge story with a twist. Instead of getting lectured on whatever the fuck Scrooge got lectured on originally, the ghosts lecture him on quantum physics and other neat shit. There's a lot of stuff in that book about the first couple seconds of the universe's existance. Check 'em both out.

check out books by Stuart Kaufmann, while you're at it. I can personally recommend "At Home in the Universe," but "Origins of Order" and "Investigations" could also be fun if you have the time/interest.
Or if you want to have a laugh at your teacher's expense, read something by Per Bak and use self-organized criticality as your starting point. Nothing's funner than scientific tautologies!
