The fantasy world of videogame street racing may have influenced two teenage boys accused of piloting real-life luxury cars in a high-speed contest that killed a taxi driver, police said Wednesday.

A copy of Need for Speed, a game that allows players to select custom cars and race them through crowded urban areas, was found on the front seat of one of the suspect’s cars following the late-night crash.

Fuck Need for Speed....its a terrorist tool for instilling havoc in our streets. Ban the fucking program, so JuggerNaut wont feel the need to cry about those who use it as an excuse for youth violence. Fuck those folks too...

Maybe they had that new setup where the cars controls are fed into a playstation with a monitor in front of the drive, except they forgot the car was on and the thing was in gear. Its silly, I know, but I can imagine worse...

I played Carmageddon and watched Deathrace 2000(?), which influenced me to run over unsuspecting people for points to a game that doesn't exist.

and you see, street racing & ricing wasnt real until EA created this concept. these guys were also the first to try it out, ALL BECAUSE OF THAT DAMN VIDEOGAME!!
